SEAJET 2300 Hard Coating – biocide-free hard polyurethane underwater coating Extremely hard, smooth and easy-to-clean protection for the underwater hull – biocide-free, for trailer boats, dry stack storage and boats up to 70 knots SEAJET 2300 Hard Coating is a two-component, biocide-free hard polyurethane coating for the underwater hull. Rather than preventing fouling with toxic substances, it creates an extremely hard, smooth surface to which fouling struggles to adhere firmly and which is easily cleaned with a high-pressure wash (approx. 200 bar) or underwater hull cleaning systems. The coating contains a UV-protection additive and an additive that reduces surface tension, so dirt and fouling adhere less well. With 90 % solids it builds a thick, durable film that lasts approx. 2 years in areas with low to moderate fouling. Who is it for? Remove all old antifouling down to a clean substrate. Clean, degrease and sand the surface, then remove the dust. 2. Apply 3 coats of SEAJET 117 Multipurpose Epoxy Primer. 3. Stir the base well, add the hardener in the specified ratio and mix thoroughly again. 4. Mix only as much coating as you can use within 15 minutes – work in small batches. 5. Apply 2–3 coats. Apply each subsequent coat within 2–24 hours. 6. Wait at least 48 hours before launching. Maintenance Clean the hull regularly with fresh water at high pressure (approx. 200 bar) or with an underwater cleaning system. How often you need to clean depends on the fouling in your area.
