SEAJET 039 PLATINUM – premium two-component SPC antifouling The most powerful antifouling in the SEAJET range – protection for up to 3 years, for warm seas, long passages and racing yachts SEAJET 039 PLATINUM is an elite self-polishing copolymer (SPC – Self-Polishing Copolymer) antifouling developed on the basis of advanced Japanese SPC technology. In contact with seawater the copolymer hydrolyses chemically and releases the biocides very evenly, so the coating maintains constant, predictable protection throughout its entire service life while the hull stays clean and smooth. When correctly applied, it provides protection for up to 3 years in moderate waters. PLATINUM is the benchmark coating for warm seas with very heavy fouling, for long passages (blue water cruising) and for racing yachts where every knot counts. The two-component formulation produces an exceptionally hard, durable film. Wash the hull with fresh water at high pressure. The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease, salt and fouling. Lightly sand the old coating and remove the dust. 2. Add all of component B to component A and mix thoroughly. 3. Apply at least 2 coats. Apply an extra coat to exposed areas – the leading edge of the keel, the waterline, the rudder and the drive units. 4. Wait at least 36 hours before launching. Tip For multi-season protection, apply additional coats – a thicker film means a longer coating life. Never paint over zinc anodes.
