SEAJET 038 TAISHO – super self-polishing copper-free antifouling Advanced copper-free protection for areas with heavy fouling – also suitable for aluminium SEAJET 038 TAISHO is a super self-polishing, copper-free antifouling based on a unique resin with a hydrolysing polymer. On contact with water, this technology releases the active ingredient evenly and in a controlled way, so the coating stays highly effective throughout the season and old layers hardly build up. Instead of copper it contains the biocide Econea, which is effective even at low concentrations. TAISHO is designed for boats in areas with heavy fouling and for owners who want modern, copper-free protection. Because it contains no copper, it is also suitable for aluminium hulls, and it comes in a wide range of colours, including white. The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease, salt and fouling. Lightly sand the old coating and remove the dust. 2. Stir the paint thoroughly before use. 3. Apply at least 2 coats. Apply an extra coat to exposed areas – the leading edge of the keel, the waterline, the rudder and drive parts. 4. Wait at least 12 hours before launching. Launch the boat no later than 3 months after application. Tip Drying times are longer at low temperatures and high humidity. Never paint over zinc anodes.
