Description

SEAJET 130 Polyurethane Gloss Varnish – two-component polyurethane varnish Very hard, high-gloss varnish with excellent UV protection – long-lasting wood protection in demanding marine conditions SEAJET 130 is a two-component high-gloss polyurethane varnish designed to protect and enhance the beauty of wood on boats. It forms an exceptionally hard, resistant film with excellent UV protection and long-lasting gloss. It is highly resistant to weathering, chemicals, salt and ageing, making it the right choice for wooden surfaces heavily exposed to sun, sea and wear. Compared with one-component varnishes, it offers much greater hardness, abrasion resistance and a longer service life – ideal for deck fittings, handrails, rails and other heavily used wooden surfaces. Advantages High, deep gloss – brings out the natural beauty of the wood Very hard, resistant film – resists abrasion and scratches Excellent UV protection – wood does not turn grey, gloss lasts a long time Resistant to weathering, chemicals and ageing For all types of wood For interior and exterior use High coverage – approx. 16.7 m²/l Area of use Wooden parts above the waterline: rails, handrails, battens and trim, hatches, doors, helm, interior fittings, furniture and other heavily used wooden parts. Above the waterline only. Technical data Type: two-component polyurethane varnish Gloss: high gloss Packaging: 1 l (base + hardener) Coverage: approx. 16.7 m²/l per coat (theoretical) Thinner: SEAJET Thinner P (max. 10 %) Mixing ratio: base 67 : hardener 33 (by volume) Next coat after 48 hours: lightly sand the surface with P360 sandpaper before application Directions for use 1. New wood: sand along the grain, remove the dust and degrease the wood. Clean oily woods (teak, iroko) with thinner before varnishing. 2. Refinishing: remove damaged or peeling varnish down to sound wood and sand the remaining varnish thoroughly. 3. Mix base and hardener in the specified ratio and stir thoroughly. If necessary, thin with SEAJET Thinner P (max. 10 %). 4. Mix only as much varnish as you will use within the pot life. 5. Apply with a good-quality brush in thin, even coats along the grain. 6. Lightly sand the surface between coats with P320–P400 sandpaper and remove the dust. Tip Do not varnish in direct sunlight, in damp weather, at low temperatures or on damp wood. Varnish in still air and in a well-ventilated area. Safety labelling (GHS/CLP) – base Pictograms: GHS02, GHS07 Signal word: WARNING H226 Flammable liquid and vapour.
