SEAJET 122 Brilliance – one-component high-gloss topcoat Deep, lasting gloss for hull and deck above the waterline – easy application, no mixing SEAJET 122 Brilliance is a high-performance one-component topcoat for boat surfaces above the waterline. It produces a deep, high gloss and a smooth surface that resists UV rays and weathering, so the paint keeps its colour and shine for a long time. It is suitable for GRP, wood, steel and aluminium. Because it is one-component, it is easy to apply by brush or roller – an excellent choice for owners refinishing their hull, superstructure, deck and other surfaces themselves. Clean, degrease and sand the surface with P280–P400 sandpaper. Remove the dust. 2. Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Thin slightly with SEAJET Thinner U if necessary. 3. Apply in thin, even coats. For the best gloss, use a quality brush or a foam roller and immediately tip off each coat with a brush (“roll & tip”). 4. Lightly wet-sand between coats with P400 or finer sandpaper and remove the dust. 5. Apply at least 2 coats, or 3 for a deeper gloss. Tip Do not paint in direct sunlight, in damp weather, at low temperatures or onto a damp surface. Paint in still air so that dust doesn't stick to the fresh surface.
