International Intersleek 737 is a three-component elastomeric silicone tie coat with no added biocides, designed to provide adhesion between the specified primer system and the Intersleek silicone or fluoropolymer topcoat. Intersleek 737 is the mandatory intermediate layer in all foul-release (biocide-free) systems of the Intersleek range, as it creates the chemical and mechanical bond between the epoxy primer and finishing coats such as Intersleek 1100SR. It can also be used as a base coat for Intersleek coatings on rubber substrates. As a biocide-free system, it works by means of a low-energy, smooth silicone surface that physically makes it harder for fouling organisms to attach and makes them easier to remove while under way or during cleaning. The recommended application method is airless spray. For smaller areas, brush or roller application is possible, in which case several coats may be required. All equipment must be thoroughly cleaned before use and before any changeover to another material to prevent silicone cross-contamination – cleaning liquids used for Intersleek 737 must not come into contact with other coatings. For surface preparation, application temperatures and overcoating intervals, always follow the current Technical Data Sheet (TDS) from the manufacturer International. COMPATIBILITY Intersleek 737 is the mandatory tie coat of System B (biocide-free foul-release): it is applied over Intershield 300 / Intergard 7500 / Intergard 7600 and then overcoated with Intersleek 1100SR. Intersleek 1100SR must be applied over Intersleek 737 within the specified overcoating interval – the system is not interchangeable with System A (epoxy + antifouling). IMPORTANT Intersleek 737 is a professional three-component silicone coating. All three components form a single system and must be used in the specified mixing ratio of 4 : 5 : 1.
