SEAJET Thinner U – thinner for alkyd paints, varnishes and primers Original SEAJET thinner for one-component paints and varnishes above the waterline – for smooth application and cleaning tools SEAJET Thinner U is an alkyd thinner for thinning SEAJET one-component paints, varnishes and primers for use above the waterline. It lets you adjust the consistency (viscosity) of the coating so that it flows out and levels nicely – giving you a smooth, glossy finish with no brush marks. It is also suitable for cleaning brushes, rollers and spray equipment, and for degreasing and cleaning gelcoat before painting. Which products is it for? SEAJET 012 Universal Primer/Undercoat SEAJET 120 UV Varnish – for varnish, also for thinning the first coats (1st coat up to 50%, 2nd coat up to 25%, subsequent coats up to 10%) SEAJET 122 Brilliance Most other alkyd paints and varnishes Not for antifoulings, epoxy or polyurethane coatings – for these, use SEAJET Thinner A (antifoulings), Thinner E (epoxies) or Thinner P (polyurethanes). Thinning: add the thinner gradually, stirring the coating well in between. Follow the recommended quantity in the technical data sheet of the respective coating. 2. Degreasing: wipe the surface with a clean cloth moistened with thinner and allow the solvent to evaporate completely. 3. Cleaning tools: clean tools immediately after work. Tip Too much thinner reduces the film thickness and the hiding power of the paint. Use only in a well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition. Close the container tightly after use. Use it to adjust the consistency (viscosity) of two-component epoxy primers for a smooth, even application. It is also suitable for cleaning and degreasing the surface before painting, and for cleaning brushes, rollers and spray equipment after the job. Use it to adjust the consistency (viscosity) of the coating for a smooth, even finish, especially at low temperatures or when spraying. It is also suitable for cleaning brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
