SEAJET Thinner E – thinner and cleaner for epoxy coatings Genuine SEAJET thinner for all epoxy primers – for the right consistency, degreasing and tool cleaning SEAJET Thinner E is a xylene-based thinner and cleaner developed specifically for SEAJET epoxy coatings. Use it to adjust the consistency (viscosity) of two-component epoxy primers for a smooth, even application. It is also suitable for cleaning and degreasing the surface before painting, and for cleaning brushes, rollers and spray equipment after the job. Using the genuine thinner ensures that the epoxy coating cures properly and retains all of its protective properties. Which products is it for? Thinning: add the thinner only after the base and hardener have been mixed. Add it gradually and stir well. Do not add more than 5 %. 2. Degreasing: before painting, wipe the surface with a clean cloth moistened with thinner and allow the solvent to evaporate completely. 3. Tool cleaning: clean tools immediately after use, before the epoxy starts to cure. Tip Too much thinner reduces the film thickness and can impair protection against osmosis and corrosion. Because of the low flash point, use only in a well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition, sparks and open flames. SEAJET Thinner P – thinner for polyurethane coatings Original SEAJET thinner for two-component polyurethane paints and varnishes – for a mirror-like gloss with no brush marks SEAJET Thinner P is a thinner for polyurethane coatings, developed specifically for SEAJET two-component polyurethane products. Use it to adjust the consistency (viscosity) of the paint or varnish so that it flows out and levels nicely during application – giving you a smooth, high-gloss finish with no brush or roller marks. It is also suitable for cleaning tools after working with polyurethane coatings. Polyurethane coatings are sensitive to unsuitable thinners, which can cause cloudiness, poor curing or loss of gloss – so always use the original thinner. Which products is it for? SEAJET 132 Polyurethane Topcoat – add 15–25 % SEAJET 130 Polyurethane Gloss Varnish – add a maximum of 10 % SEAJET 2300 Hard Coating – add 0–5 % Not for antifoulings or epoxy coatings – for antifoulings use SEAJET Thinner A, and for epoxy coatings (SEAJET 117) use SEAJET Thinner E. SEAJET Thinner A – thinner for antifoulings and primers Genuine xylene-based SEAJET thinner – for the right coating consistency and tool cleaning SEAJET Thinner A is a xylene-based thinner for thinning SEAJET antifoulings, SEAJET 015 Underwater Primer and other SEAJET products where it is specified. Use it to adjust the consistency (viscosity) of the coating for a smooth, even finish, especially at low temperatures or when spraying. It is also suitable for cleaning brushes, rollers and spray equipment. Using the genuine thinner ensures that the coating retains all the properties intended by the manufacturer – an unsuitable thinner can impair drying, adhesion and performance.
