F2 is a coating with very low maintenance requirements. As hard biofouling rarely adheres to the surface, care is limited to occasional, simple cleaning. <\/p>\n

Maintenance during the curing phase (first 12 weeks)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The complete curing of the coating takes 12 weeks. During this time, it is beneficial to perform an \u201cEarly-Clean\u201d if needed. <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Early-Clean:<\/strong> After 8\u201312 weeks, a slight biofilm layer may form on the surface. This can be easily removed with a soft cloth, sponge, or soft brush, which hinders subsequent colonization by macroorganisms. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Long-term maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Simple Cleaning:<\/strong> Surface fouling, especially bioslime, is usually very easy to wipe off with a soft cloth, sponge, or soft brush. Depending on the sailing area and usage, gentle cleaning as needed (often 1\u20132 times per season) is sufficient. <\/li>\n
    • Winter Storage:<\/strong> F2 does not require annual recoating. After the season, inspect the coating and selectively clean it if necessary. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t

      Minor damage to the F2 coating, such as scratches, can be easily repaired. There are two methods, depending on the depth of the scratches and how inconspicuous you want the result to be. <\/p>\n

      Note:<\/strong> Special F2 EcoHull Repair Kits are available, covering 1 m\u00b2.<\/p>\n

      1. Repairing small scratches with Top Coat (fastest method)<\/strong><\/p>\n

      This method is ideal if the scratches are only superficial and the underlying coating is not completely damaged.<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Thoroughly clean the surface with F2 Degreasing Solution or a similar product.<\/li>\n
      2. Wipe the surface with a dry, lint-free paper towel.<\/li>\n
      3. Apply a new layer of Top Coat, ensuring the scratches are well covered.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The scratches may still be slightly visible, but the surface will be protected and undamaged. This is the fastest way to repair damaged areas. <\/p>\n

        2. Repairing deep scratches with Adhesive Coat and Top Coat<\/strong><\/p>\n

        If you want to completely cover the scratches, including their color, proceed as follows:<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Sand the existing coating in the affected area down to the primer.<\/li>\n
        2. Apply a layer of Adhesive Coat.<\/li>\n
        3. Finally, apply another layer of Top Coat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
