In this category, you will find all important information regarding long-term maintenance. We will show you how to properly care for the F2 coating, repair minor damage, and remove the coating if necessary.
F2 is a coating with very low maintenance requirements. As hard biofouling rarely adheres to the surface, care is limited to occasional, simple cleaning.
Maintenance during the curing phase (first 12 weeks)
The complete curing of the coating takes 12 weeks. During this time, it is beneficial to perform an “Early-Clean” if needed.
Long-term maintenance
Minor damage to the F2 coating, such as scratches, can be easily repaired. There are two methods, depending on the depth of the scratches and how inconspicuous you want the result to be.
Note: Special F2 EcoHull Repair Kits are available, covering 1 m².
1. Repairing small scratches with Top Coat (fastest method)
This method is ideal if the scratches are only superficial and the underlying coating is not completely damaged.
The scratches may still be slightly visible, but the surface will be protected and undamaged. This is the fastest way to repair damaged areas.
2. Repairing deep scratches with Adhesive Coat and Top Coat
If you want to completely cover the scratches, including their color, proceed as follows:
